Plot Synopsis

Characters- Katherine (final girl)

                    - Jason (Murderer/ victim)

                     - Jacob (victim)

  Katherine, an extremely fanatic horror fan and Goth, collects oddities and strange items from the Victorian era to add to her growing collection. She is also into abandoned or spooky areas, and with her 3 friends Jason, Tyler and Jacob she visits an abandoned hospital to help fill her horror hunger. Whilst there, she locates a small gothic pendant/ necklace that she keeps to add to her collection. The pendant is small and silver with Lovecraftian patterns adorning the surface. She shows it around to all of her friends and they then leave. However, when the 4 part ways to return home, Katherine realises she’s being followed by a cloaked man with a deformed white face. She manages to escape home and the cloaked man doesn’t return. She adds the pendant to her collection and drifts off to sleep.

  During the same night, Jason is walking home and gets attacked by the same man with a scalpel. The man then performs surgery on Jason. When discovered Jason is a heaving mass of lumps and dead flesh, and completely brain dead. Katherine and gang mourn Jason for the day, and Katherine believes strongly it was the cloaked man. Jacob and Tyler don’t believe her, until they are then attacked again by the cloaked man. Everyone escapes him but Jacob is wounded. The notice the killer wears a plague doctor mask from the 1400s. They then attempt to look up the killer and realise he was connected with the hospital, which was abandoned after a string of failed surgeries and mysterious murders. They continue to look him up and notice that find out that in every piece of evidence the plague doctor there always seems to be a mention of two things; a great plague and the pendant.

  They make the connection that the killer stalks and kills those who’ve touched the pendant. Suddenly Jacob starts to throw up and when he lifts his head it is covered in blotches. They start to burst, and when he falls to his knees in weakness the doctor is standing behind him. Tyler and Katherine watch in horror as the doctor performs surgery on Jacob and cuts out a strange writhing black thing from his stomach.

  They both run away but Tyler gets caught in the last second. Katherine, the only survivor left, runs to her house and picks up her collection. She takes the pendant and tries to board up her house. The plague doctor breaks his way in and Katherine tries to avoid him whilst also trying to capture or kill him. In the end he pins her to the wall and attempts to stab her. In the last second she rips off his mask, showing a hideous zombie like creature. Without saying a word the doctor then slits his own throat. After breathing a sigh of relief, she notices his medicine bag and looks through it. In a small doctors journal found within, she suddenly realises that he was trying to administer a cure for the dark plague that was passed around by the pendant, and that his gas mask was the only thing that he believed would protect him from the infection (hence why he killed himself, he didn’t want to die of infection). Katherine suddenly puts her hands to her face and realises it’s covered in blotches. She then dies of the infection.

  Police come the next day and forensics takes the pendant. It ends with a news report of a growing plague.
